Small businesses

Run your business. NegoTrack watches the signals.

You do not have an SEO consultant, a web developer on retainer or someone whose job is reading reviews. Neither do most of your competitors. The difference is usually who noticed something first.

The roles you do not have

Four jobs nobody is doing.

Not because they do not matter. Because there are eleven hours in the day and this is not what you do.

SEO specialist

Would notice a search position slipping and know whether it mattered.

What happens instead

You search your own name occasionally and see yourself, because Google knows you exist.

Web developer

Would notice the site got slower the week the new gallery went up.

What happens instead

Nobody measures it again after launch. Enquiries drift down and get blamed on the season.

Reputation manager

Would reply to reviews within a day and spot the theme running through them.

What happens instead

You reply to the angry ones. The four-star ones all mentioning the same thing go unread.

Analyst

Would tell you which of the above to fix first, and what it is worth.

What happens instead

Whichever thing you happened to read about most recently.

Monday, nine o'clock

Three columns, and then you get on with your day.

Not a dashboard you have to interpret. What changed, what needs you, and what is fine to leave — with the last column being the one that saves the most time.

This week

What changed

Since last Monday
  • Mobile speed up 11 pointsThe compressed hero image landed. 1.4 seconds faster.
  • Two new five-star reviewsBoth mention the engineer by name.
  • “emergency plumber” up 3 placesNow 7th from the city centre.

Needs attention

One thing this week
  • A competitor overtook you on reviewsThey gained six this week. Your rating is higher; your volume is not.
  • Three reviews still unansweredAll from the past fortnight. Twenty minutes of work.

Can wait

Noted, not urgent
  • Two pages share a titleWorth tidying next time the site is touched.
  • Gallery page is slowAlmost nobody reaches it. Low priority.
  • Missing alt text on 9 imagesReal, minor, not this week.

By trade

The checks change with the work.

A clinic and a plumber are not judged by the same things. Choose a trade to see which signals move to the top and what the first recommendation would be.

The honest version

This should cost you ten minutes a week.

Most tools that promise to save time create work. A dashboard with forty widgets is a job, and jobs that are not urgent do not get done — which is why the second month of most subscriptions is the last useful one.

So the target is deliberately low. Ten minutes on a Monday: read three lines, do one thing or forward it, close the tab. If NegoTrack ever needs more than that from you, it has failed at its own job.

  • One email a week, not a daily digest
  • Three priorities, not a backlog
  • Nothing to install, no code on your site
  • Findings you can forward without translating them

Questions from owners

I am not technical. Will I understand it?

That is the entire design goal. Findings say what the problem is and what it costs you, never just a diagnostic code. Where something genuinely needs a developer, it says so and words it so you can forward the message rather than explain it.

I already pay an agency. Does this replace them?

No. It tells you what is happening and what to prioritise, which is a reasonable thing to have when you are paying someone else to do the work. Several owners will find it makes the conversation with their agency shorter and more specific.

My website is quite old. Will it just tell me to rebuild it?

No. Rebuilding is usually the most expensive answer and rarely the first one that matters. Recommendations are ranked by impact against effort, which tends to put a clearer first paragraph well above a redesign.

How much of my time does setup take?

You give a website address, confirm which business you are on the map, and name a few local competitors. There is nothing to install and no analytics account to connect.

Ten minutes a week, starting when the beta opens.
